Two Individuals Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.
Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
