Helicopter Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Beach
A helicopter hovering over a crowded coastal coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a line of palm fronds as spectators observed.
Recordings posted online capture the chopper beginning to twirl over the beach then descending towards the edge of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders reported five individuals were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on Saturday.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Details on their wounds were not yet released.
